That’s the expert advice from the 40-year old whose mission in life is to trace the cause and find the cure for airline lost luggage . He himself has to go shopping for new clothes 7 times this past year as he traveled for this job.

I heard on NPR some years back that there was a place in or around Denver Airport where they auction lost items (for Thrift store owners?).

Be careful shopping there, you  may find your own lost luggage.

The Wall Street Journal advertises Power Travel in paper back. Perhaps by default or by design, this article about lost luggage is printed nearby (for your convenience).

Ad networks prove to be the least effective as compare to content sites, who are faring better with prospects .

I notice a lot of advertisement on Facebook  these days.

Perhaps peer influence is still considered a strong factor in one’s buying decision.

An offer one cannot refuse, as in the Godfather.

It’s also the  40th anniversary of that title. 1969 gave us Man on the Moon, Woodstock on the ground and a script soon to be on the screen.

It brought the Italian families to the forefront of public consciousness (the Chinese immigrants largely came alone, many came alone. The Chinese Exclusion Act did not allow these “coolies” to bring wives over. There lies the origin of Chinese take-outs – just kidding!).

Here in my neighborhood, flash forward 40 years later, my blue-collar white neighbor is walking his dog while pushing his grandson’s stroller to fill his unemployed time, while my black neighbor on the left still is working on his old car, fast and furious style. United Benetton of the Recession. We are no Crosby, Still and Nash. We just try to survive, living in front of a church, where there is no bell (or else, I would pretend to hunch to get the job – the way Lohan does in Labor Pains.)

Maybe I can apply to be the luggage loser’s assistant. This time, my only job is to assist him in finding his own lost cause. When that happens, I would need to pack redundantly, on two different airlines, same destination just to be sure (with Winter coming up and all).

And I would take out the insurance on my luggage as well, if it were an offer I can’t refuse.  Fade in music (theme from the Godfather), this time, on Blue-ray.
