Orange Jump suits

California is holding a huge yard sale.

Among other things, prison uniform surplus.

I remember my college years, the Army and Navy surplus store (heard that flannel shirts are back).

Wonder how much of that merchandise will be cleared up!

Maybe for an upcoming Music video shoot about “being on the inside”.

Don’t get me wrong. I love California, despite its problems.

It gave you Muscle Beach, women volleyball, and a sizable governor (to handle a sizable deficit).

TIME cover this week has “Less Vegas” as the lead story.

Besides the Recession , Less replaces Las was because Californians are cutting back on crossing to Nevada.

Good news though! New Orleans is bouncing back with 60% of its 25,000 rooms occupied.

If there is a story of resilience, this is it.

Let’s hope that California, Less (but not least) Vegas, and my own Palm Beach, all bounce back in time.

We nominate the Tech sector to take the lead. Wherever the I Phones are being sold, it’s fine with me.

(Unicom was set to roll them out in China).

In the words of Niall Ferguson in the Ascent of Money, recent events have turned China into America’s banker, “communist creditor to capitalist debtor”.

I just remember I don’t miss those water bottles. Good for the environment, good for the pocket-book.

Just hope they don’t overstock those Orange Sunkist as they did Orange jump suits.
