Tequila filed charges. The Charger turned charged this time. And he will miss practice on Monday.

The host of A Shot At Love on MTV, Tila Tequila (Nguyen), said she was choked when trying to leave his house. But, according to him, she was drunk and he was just trying to keep her from DUI.
A quick peek in Wiki tells us that she was raised in a strict Buddhist convent in Houston, and went through an identity-crisis phase. At least she got some screen credits (as a Hooters girl) -, a celluloid identity- while searching still for true compass and companionship) and a book out in print (so did Pam).
A shot at fame. Her 15 minutes.
Every major holiday produced a bunch of alcohol-related incidents. In this case, careers are at stake. (Coach says he would wait for the legal process to play itself out).
Anti-model minority.
There was a time when America thought all Asians were nerds (eye glasses, pen in pocket, bad hairdo, and a math whiz). The Chinese Exclusion Act, the Japanese internment, and the 80’s Yellow Peril (The Rising Sun) did not help.
Tila Nguyen, Betty Nguyen (CNN), Anh Duong (the Bomb Lady) blew this stereotype out of the water.
These Dragon Ladies are not to be messed with.
Post Watergate, post Vietnam era brought together strange bed fellows:
A Baptist Ex-President from Georgia, a bomb lady from Vietnam, a Hooters girl from Houston and an Atlanta
CNN anchor reading the news about Obama’s upcoming health care speech (he got conflicting advices, mostly on the costs side).
I must give it to America: over this Labor Day weekend, we are faced with an unprecedented percentage of unemployment (10% or 7 million jobs lost).
Manufacturing jobs get moved some place else cheaper (can’t blame them, since consumers want it cheap and free).
Yet, Tila was still taking her shots (not flu shot mind you, but a shot at fame), Betty is still reading bad news to us, and the Bomb lady is drumming up better heat-sensor, smart bombs. It’s a great country or what.
You can have a shot at virtually anything here. Tila once brought her “followers” over to My Space and the site saw a significant boost in traffic. Last weekend, she tweeted about going to the Chargers game to meet her PROM KING (in caps) only to
file charges before the night was out.
In True Compass, an upcoming book by the late Senator Ted Kennedy, we find him regretting Chappaquiddick. And we are referring here to a life well lived, and a life work worth emulating.
Let’s see what Tila make of this incident. And like Coach, I am awaiting to see how her intriguing life play out.
Not from CNN, this is Thang Nguyen. (I reserve the right to my given name, and not being associated with any drink.)
