It now commands twice the audience of the three big networks combined.
I saw the emergence of CNN back in 1980. And now YouTube, barely five years old.
CNN delivers the news 24/7. YouTube, show all you can show (two-way video traffic).
And the site seems to be neutral and quite democratized.
At the speed of current growth, we will “tube” everything, to and from the cloud.
Dig out those old slides. Load them up, and store them for eternity.
I got slides, 3/4 video, VHS video, and DVD. And I am not a gadget man.
Now we got 3-D Playboy issue (should have come out along side the cult movie Rocky Horror Picture Show).
If it gains traction, we will end up with a lot of ugly-looking glasses, and many change over of wide-screen TV’s.
If anything, I’d rather get a better screen for my YouTube download.
I prefer staying with the Singers and Songwriters of the 70’s, over the Taiwanese boy pretending to be Whitney.
Have you ever noticed both Susan Boyle and that boy, the hair banks? Glad it’s YouTube and not MyTube.
But then, when I look back on those slides back in the early 80’s, I don’t like the Don Johnson’s Miami Vice style either.
In short, let’s move on. And a healthy dose of self-acceptance (spelled deception) is highly recommended.
