Expand and contract, thesis and anti-thesis then synthesis – a new thesis.
History repeats itself. Technology just does what it wants: the flow and fluidity (courtesy of Kevin Kelly).
Life like a river stream, flows and extracts raw materials to ensure its momentum.
The results: lots of waste.
Climate change, pollution and 2 degrees Celsius hotter ( so go buy Greeland).
Industry doesn’t care. It can afford those EPA fines per quants’ crunched numbers.
Pharma companies just want to join the Trillion-dollar clubs, the likes of Amazon and Exxon.
The opioid epidemic could have been prevented, easily, just as easy as its out-of-court settlement with the State of Oklahoma.
In Virginia and Kentucky, people are out of a job. Lots of time on their hands. Lots of opportunities for addiction of any kind.
Hence, a promise of a new America.
Life flows like a river runs through a town (where congressional ear-marked to build a bridge that goes nowhere). Pot holes in poor cities don’t get fixed, but brand new bridges can be built in no man’s land.
Since the turn of this decade, we have tried off-shoring and in-shoring, automation and AI, crowd-sourcing and out-sourcing…. not without unintended consequences.
We infact have tried to reverse-engineer life itself.
Smart Alex. Invincible and indisputable.
Until life runs its course that we see suicides and resignations (to “focus on the family”).
If only the first Penguin could speak and voice its opinion “It’s my damn glacier”.
Where is the ice in Iceland? The answer happens to be those plastics rafts in the ocean.
We, consumers, have lived beyond what life has alotted for each one, our eco-footprints. Each of us should be fined for all the plastics consumed and discarded. So Coca Cola decides to “can” its water instead of bottling it.
Then we just trade-off one kind of waste for another (Coca Cola has its manufacturing line ready to “can” anything. Should can blood type for convenient life-saving). Life flows on.
And the thirst needs to be quenched, the flow and fluidity, first and foremost in our bodies, then out in the world at large.
What stands in the way will only be the things of the past. Life itself will always re-emerge on the other side of any obstacle. Watch out and comply, or else.
