Lies lies lies!

In looking back, “many thousands of lives could have been saved”…BUT…INSTEAD….blah blah blah lies lies lies.

Where is the spirit of 1969? Of questioning your government and its dereliction of duty (back then, sending young men to a protracted war with ” no end in sight”, “nothing to join up”…)

We’ve been spin-ned, had. Been told that “thoughts and prayers” are with us.

Not enough.

Tonight, at least I finally got in line for a vaccine appointment. 1C category. Wish I were older to bump my category to 1B.

Oh well.

Light at the end of a long tunnel.

The Suez Canal.

Re-floating soon.

Been stuck. Me too.

Tied to a chair.

Finally bought my memory foam to ease the sitting pain.

Highly recommended to you and loved ones too.

Cheap remedy.

Actionable.

Do something.

Intentions are not good enough.

Words are not good enough.

Times demand much more (than Spring break party and curfew violation).

Those are not acts of protest, or manifestation of freedom.

It’s time for conscientious objection. To stand up for life and liberty.

For an existence we all deserve: clean water and clear air.

As simple and primitive are our wishes. Yet today, it’s our fights.

Yes, we live longer, thanks to science.

No, we don’t have the quality of life our parents used to have (albeit shorter lifespan).

Which is which? Why this tradeoff? Can we have both: quality and quantity?

They keep saying, kings and queens in centuries back could never have the I-phone 12 etc…

But then, they had good foods, lovely neighbors, great music and charming/clear gardens.

We have lonely gun men, divided nation, fearful citizens (who are advised to avoid each other) and (Asian) hateful neighbours.

Please do your part as I mine. Let’s see if we can get the spirit back, civic or otherwise. Let’s volunteer to be first on the floor (like a 1969 dance). To be vulnerable, the daring penguin. It only takes a spark, to get the fire going….

Let’s start with no more Lies, lies, lies… Tell the truth, hurtful one, but it saves lives not snuffing them.

Covid is deadly. Period. Get the vaccination. Laminate the card. Show it and your passport/visa. Go see rest of the world, for the rest of your life. 100 places to visit before you die. Unless, you already are, due to lies, lies, lies.
