With some short-term relief work in Asia/Africa and long stint in Telecom, Thang also earned a B.A. at Pennsylvania State University. M.A. in Communication at Wheaton Graduate School, M.A. in Cross-Cultural Communication at Gordon-Conwell Seminary, Boston. In addition, he earned a CELTA – classes taken in Hanoi for cultural re-immersion.

Or, two months ago, on my Orange County lay-over from my short-term teaching tour in Vietnam, I ran into one of my former sales agents.

He tried to pin me down to see what  I was up to.

He recommended that I should try getting certified to teach English in Vietnam.

I couldn’t help but smiling inside.

I was still jet-lagged and all, and in serious need of a strong coffee.

Politely I said I would look into it (so I could order coffee).

Done it!
