Instead, user-generated-apps got creative, turning social media into social change ; means to miracles.
We should have coders take an oath, just like doctors.
That they will code to cure and not to plant virus.
That the program will self-destruct when used for evil purpose (Google’s original motto was “Don’t be Evil”).
Next generation of smart phones users are today’s high school SMS users.
Young people want that which is hip, and they don’t mind experiment with whatever comes their way (non status-quo). Back in the USSR, it was the Beatles records.
Now it’s “unlimited texting” .
Young people want to socialize away growing pain.
They can put 2 and 2 together. They knew about those NINJA loans and how the Fed manipulated interest rates . then print paper money to “float”. They are worried about their future, one with few opportunities and a mountain of educational debt.
They should have a Million-Unemployed March in Washington.
I was glad when one homeless man with Voice-Over talent got hired off the streets, literally (wonder if he went out and spent his first pay check all in one place).
For now, the world once again witnesses change on a global scale. Egypt will be up there in the annal of history along side with Poland Solidarity. The irony in all this, is that, it’s the demonstrators that freed the Brotherhood out of jail, instead of being instigated by them. The real culprits were Tunisians with Twitter and Yemenis with Facebook .
Meanwhile, all the way across the ocean, Mark just wanted a date with a face. Instead of Rendez-Vous he got a Revolution. I know what he would say, just like what he said on SNL “it’s interesting!”.
